What's to stop us booking a farmers field camp site to camp and we all just happen to have cavaliers? Same thing, it's a social and maybe a drive out in the day to some local places.

I feel sorry for the regulars who go every year, I've missed alot more than I've attended, but the ones I have made it to, except the flood one, were all highly entertaining. I'm struggling to understand why vboa have returned to billing under such onerous terms, given the way they dumped all the car clubs a few years back. While I understand businesses make mistakes, to allow these events back on this basis shows no care at all for the clubs concerned or their members, and is simply a way of generating business. When camping was available, people had choices and I'm sure that would have been reflected in the cost of hiring a caravan/ pod for the weekend. Now they have control. I hope members of all the vboa affiliated clubs do the right thing and say no thanks. On a positive note, I guess it gives me another year to attempt to get the car roadworthy again.

That's good that they have set the date so early giving people plenty of chance to arrange holidays/ time of work in advance. No excuse for people not having a car with that amount of notice 🙄

Lol...too many transport issues at the minute. I dont think i could make one decent car out of the three i own.

Sounds an interesting idea John, anything which will keep clubs in business so to speak has to be considered, hopefully the additional footfall will bring some much needed traffic to the site, and maybe a bit of a revival. I assume its just a case of modifying the forum menu to add in a mk3 section?

You mean a get together, piss up and thrash the life out of my car type of weekend,? Well my last one was coventry ( as the spares day was there), yes i did get together, have a cracking time and many people raced my car all weekend. Mind you, the worst part was nearly getting filled in at tgi Fridays by a pissed up group.....until they realised that almost everyone else in the pub was in our group. The real piss cans then went onto a club, me included. Never seen before or since a person selling potions in the toilets?? And thankfully no one mooning out the window on a dual carriageway while driving a cav.....who could that have been i wonder 🤔

No car for me John ( surprise surprise) so still thinking whether to come or not. Its a big anniversary to not be in a cav.

Could be the sender itself, you can check by earthing the main terminal, gauge should go to full

Fuel gauge could well be the sender. If you check the tank at the lower drivers side quarter you will see the sender unit, check the wires carefully and importantly the little spade connector for the earth. Speedo wise, when you changed the cable, i think there is a gear wheel in the top of the gearbox where the cable plugs in?
