May 31, 200818 yr comment_82517 Hi. my name is Deano. i am in harrogate N Yorks. I do not have a mk2 yet but i am hoping to change that asap. I have never owned a mk2 but my parents have including a carmine red 1.6L hatch (A869PUM). Has anyone had any encounters with this car? anyway as for me i am looking to get my first mk2. i am a mechanic and am looking for a smallish project for my spare time. i lucky actually because my girl friend is encouraging me to get one and says she wants to help. i am thinking of building a mk2 with a redtop in it and leather interior etc. also i thought of adding a VXR style to it but without loosing the character of the mk2. if anyone has any views on this or knows of a suitable car please let me know. i have to say it has to be a hatch but i am not bothered what spec the car is. cheers for now. June 1, 200818 yr CLUB MEMBER comment_82559 Hello, ebay seems to be churning them out at present. A few of us post them in the "Cavaliers on ebay," topic in "Cavs for sale," section. Keep an eye out for it. The hatch gets my vote, and an LX at that but I am biased ;D Current mk2 stock: 3 LXs: white c20xe, blue & red std, blue LX parts car, blue GLi, & monaro VXR Renault 5e daily (french go kart) Report
June 1, 200818 yr Author comment_82562 yeah i was reading about your project and seen the pics. you've got a lot of work to do. good luck with that. i looked at a few on ebay. i nearly went to buy one until i read about it on here (the sri that had been reversed into a skip and every1 sed run away). i was hoping that someone would have, or know of, one for sale in reasonable condition. June 1, 200818 yr comment_82577 really mate, dont take peoples advice to much, i would allways have a look at a car myself and make my own mind on it, we all have our own ideas of how bad a car is.Shaney's is a prime example, everyone said how crap it looked but turned out to be a real gem for £150, if you dont have a look, your never know Report
June 1, 200818 yr comment_82590 Theres Jesus's 130 hatch that needs a LOT of work but does look a viable project.I know you mention it has to be a hatch, but if you ever change your mind I have a very SOLID X plate GL saloon on my drive waiting a new owner  Report
