Hatchback
Those three layers of steel are the floorpan, the bulkhead and the inner arch. There is also a reinforcing panel underneath on of the floor. If it is like that inside the car there is a good chance the bulkhead is going along the lower seam in the engine bay. If there is sound deadening on the bulkhead in the engine bay peel it up to check it out.

Spares Day 2016 30th October
Andy, it was the VBOA who decided not to proceed. Numbers were dropping, there was a lot of effort required setting it up and we made a loss on the last one.

Spares Day 2016 30th October
Probably not as such. VBOA are trying to set up a day at the Heritage Centre in Luton with a 'spares day' in the carpark. Currently awaiting comment from Vauxhall.

Things are definitely being run differently for next year. We had a VBOA meeting this morning and LMF booking goes live tomorrow, Monday. The site layout will change, whilst the autojumble will stay where it was everything else will change. We have not seen a plan but the concept is the arena in the middle with stands in concentric circles around it. It looks as if LMF underestimated most things this year, not unexpectedly as it was their first go at it, so next year there will be much more spent on security, toilets, layout, rubbish disposal etc. This means that for the first time, almost in living memory, the day rate is increasing to the next logical amount (to minimise cash handling) of £15 with a weekend rate of £25. Camping will be £21 a night. I will start a thread on it over the next few days.

Does a calibra steering rack fit a mk2 cav ?
Pump probably the same as well, but there could be an electric pump out there you could use.

They are definitely different, almost all the dimensions are out starting with the distance between the centrelines of the mounting brackets. Can put up a couple of pictures if you are interested.

But going on from what Frisco says, its down to you really whether you pay your way round here or not. Without those who contribute this site and its knowledge base would not be here. There is nowhere with the depth of knowledge on our cars like here. Not many Youtube videos out there reflecting the not many cars out there now. Some members have joined as soon as the found the site, helping to keep it there for the time they might need it, others join when they need it, perhaps for advice or parts or even to go to the Show. Others never get round to joining. We are also a pretty sociable bunch.

Being a member also gets you access to the Vauxhall Trade Club parts and lubricants pricing if your local dealer is a member and if they have any parts! Main use now is for oil and oil filters. But, if you happen to have a newer Vauxhall as well.................

Hi all. We had the meeting in Luton in Luton this morning and thanks to those of you who gave feedback. We are at Market Harborough again next year, the vote was unanimous, probably the 14/15 July weekend. That will be confirmed over the next few days. A new show organising joint VBOA/LMF sub committee has been formed to spread the load of implementing the improvements, including stand sizes and location, based on this year's experiences. They will report back at the November VBOA meeting. LMF and VBOA have clearly taken on board many positive suggestions and LMF along with the landowner and MH District Council will be working to put in some permanent toilets/showers up near the entrance. hopefully in time for next year. A temporary toilet management team, better rubbish system (LMF said that they had seriously underestimated the amount and more security will also be in place. There will also be a wet weather plan rather than a 'seat of the pants' operation. The 'entertainment' tent will, as an experiment for one year, be licensed from Friday lunchtime to Sunday morning and until midnight on Saturday, the range and times of food will also be increased. This is due partly to cater for overseas visitors, who may not have stocked up on their way, as well as those who found carrying booze from the far corners of the site up to the tent a bit of an effort! The' road' system is to be modified, basically widened, more clearly marked and probably one-way. Also possibly a co-ordinated bus service into town. In other business this year's spares day was cancelled, subject to Vauxhall permission there is a plan to run one next year in conjunction with a day at the Heritage Museum in Luton. Next update in November.

I am not there on Thursday to see what the pitch looks like in reality. An initial thought as to what our layout might be is below. Will you guys who get there on Thursday check it out to see if its basic structure is likely to work please? Also keep the post that John of VBOA has put in the middle safe.

VBOA 2017 Market Harborough July 8/9th
This came in today from the Man Today me and Richard with the help of James from JOV and Ian Virco (Yes noisey bins Ian) have spent from 9.30 this morning till 6 pm marking out all the club stands, each stand has a 4ft pole with your respective club named on it in approx the middle of your stand, Please upon arrival will the reps remove and keep these safe, I need the return of them all, you can either bring them to me on my club stand (Vauxhall Cresta club) or bring them back on the Saturday morning meeting. Please no excuses. The show ground is starting to look good now and I can start to visualise what it will look like and I am getting excited about the weekend. The weather forecast looks good so bring the sun cream because all of us have got burnt today doing the various bits on the field today. Can someone who gets there on Thursday please save the pole with our name on? I don't get there till Friday. I'm bringing the Club banner.
